Energy efficiency and winter warmth for council tenants

Coronavirus update

  • We are helping council tenants and vulnerable people who contact us for support during the coronavirus crisis
  • Our offices are closed to comply with social distancing rules and we are delivering our energy advice service by phone
  • We are prioritising residents with urgent needs and this may affect the time it takes for us to get back to you
  • If you are running out or have run out of credit on your meters you may want to try phoning your energy supplier in the first instance
  • Please note that the programmes of work mentioned below are on hold while social distancing remains in place
  • You can call our energy advice team on 01865 252 372 or email us at [email protected]
  • Citizen’s Advice Oxford can also give energy and financial advice if you are struggling during the coronavirus crisis – the helpline number is 0300 3309 054

Helping people to reduce their fuel bills remains a priority for us but we need to make sure that the resources that are made available are targeted to maximise impact.

Current programmes of work are:

  • Improved loft insulation standards
  • We offered an upgrade of electric heated properties to gas central heating
  • Ongoing boiler replacement programme
  • External insulation, double glazing and improved ventilation in all of the city’s Tower Blocks.
