Introduction to The Leys
The Leys refers to Blackbird Leys and Greater Leys, two housing estates which are made up of over 5000 households in total.
Building started on Blackbird Leys in the late 1950s and Greater Leys was developed to the south of Blackbird Leys in the early 1990s.
The Leys boasts three parks and an active community centre. It has lots to do for people of all ages, such as youth clubs, an adventure playground, sports clubs, a leisure centre, swimming pool, allotments, and lots more.
There are so many ways that you can get involved in your community. Here are just a few ideas:
