Hazardous waste collections
- collected in orange sacks
- includes wound dressings, bandages, and swabs
- this waste must be disposed of safely to prevent infection spread
- your healthcare professional must sign off the application form
Sharps collections
- collected in yellow sharps boxes from your healthcare provider
- includes needles and syringes
- do not put these in your general waste bin. They need safe disposal
- we review households using this service yearly
