Heat Networks for Oxford - Feasibility studies

This heat network feasibility study has jointly been commissioned by Oxford City Council and the University of Oxford with additional funding provided by the Heat Network Delivery Unit at the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

The study investigates a number of heat network options for Oxford city centre and Headington areas, connecting a wide range of potential heat and power consumers and a range of baseload supply technologies.  The work follows an Outline Masterplanning study completed in 2014, which identified that the both of these offer significant opportunities for the development of a heat network system due to their relatively high heat demand densities and committed local stakeholders.
