Small grants for community support groups
What this grant covers
- Grants of up to £5,000 are available for groups that cover the whole city and smaller grants of up to £2,000 are for those that operate at a more local level
- This grant can only be used to provide essential emergency support to vulnerable and can include things like:
- accessing food support (including food vouchers)
- support with household bills (for example gas, electricity and internet)
- repairs to cooking or heating appliances (also includes purchase of new appliances)
- other essential items (for example clothing, bedding and toiletries)
- A small amount of the grant can also be used towards any related admin costs, such as managing client relationships and publicity
- Full criteria can be found within the reporting form; if you receive funding, you can still make referrals to us
How to apply and key dates
- Application process:
- Applications have now closed
- We hope to inform applicants about the status of their application by 8 December 2021
- Funds should reach successful applicants within 3 working days of their grant agreement being returned to us
- Key requirements:
- This grant scheme will encourage data sharing of support given to clients and further details will be provided to successful applicants
- All funds must be spent by 31 March 2022 and any unspent funds must be returned
- A report using our Excel template must be emailed to grants@oxford.gov.uk as soon as you've spent all funding or by 8 April 2022
