    We have postponed this event until 2021 so we can host it in the new Museum of Oxford. We w

    Would you want to take a hyena for a walk? Or have chimpanzees to tea? When did we start seeking out wild animals as pets? And how far have we come from Victorian attitudes to animals? Dr Elle Larsson takes us through the fascinating history of the exotic animal trade.

    We know the cost of this ticket is more than the advertised price, however using this fantastic booking website comes at a cost. We are passing on the handling fee so that you have the choice to book in advance and avoid disappointment on the day.

    Our third community exhibition will feature stories behind Oxford’s queer spaces. From our local gay and lesbian pubs to printed publications, from support organisations to the Gay and Lesbian Community Centre on St Michael’s Street, we will showcase individuals’ memories and experiences of these spaces through oral histories, photographs and objects. The exhibition has been created in partnership with the Tales of Our City project and Oxford Pride, and co-curated by members of Oxford’s LGBTIQA+ community.
