Bürgerfest at Gloucester Green
What is a Bürgerfest you might ask? It roughly translates as ‘citizen’ in German and our version will see a community performance stage with a packed programme of musicians, dancers and singers from Oxford and Bonn with all the wonderful street food stalls offering the perfect spot to grab some lunch and take in the show. Come along and see singing, dancing and bands from Oxford and Bonn playing on stage for free. The Lord Mayor of Oxford, The District Mayor of the District of Bonn and the newly appointed German Ambassador will open the celebrations.

4th Oxford Scouts are running a fun day at Oxford Rugby club with archery, climbing wall, games, an amateur radio station between Oxford and Bonn, football shootout, pony rides, a rope bridge to cross and MUCH more. Food and drink provided by the Rugby Club, and the bar will be open.

BOX noun /boks/ Bonn Oxford art eXchange, is a collaborative exchange project between artist collectives in Bonn and Oxford to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the twinning of the towns. This internationally exhibited, award-winning group of Oxford and Bonn based artists, through a series of virtual discussions, presentations and sharing of practice, will present a dynamic exhibition of work encompassing painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, installation and performance in the ethereal surroundings of St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Summertown. Available to view for three days only, this is an event in the Oxford art calendar not to be missed.
Exhibition opening Friday 17th June 18.30 – 20.30: open to the public, all welcome
