The chairman of East Oxford Football Club speaks about taking 17 young footballers to Perm, Russia

This summer, after more than 12 months of planning and fundraising, 23 players and parents from East Oxford Football Club went to our twin city Perm in Russia to take part in an international youth football camp. The club chairman and local legend Hassan Sabrie share with us his experiences of what happened in Perm when the 17 boys and 6 adults arrived there for two weeks in August. His view of Perm is fascinating, sometimes surprising, and full of detail.

You do not have to be interested in football to be absorbed by what Hassan will tell us - though of course it always helps if you have those exciting tournament moments in your thoughts. For those of us who are not really football enthusiasts, the story itself is worth hearing - and sometimes very funny.

Drinks and nibbles will be available afterwards, and there will be a box for donations.
