Due to further essential maintenance work in the Town Hall's Gallery, the Micro-Museum is now permanently closed. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. We will be opening the new Museum of Oxford late 2020.

A message from the Museum Team:

Due to essential maintenance required in the Town Hall's gallery space, we have taken the decision to close the Micro-Museum.

We apologise for any inconvenience, but look forward to welcoming you to the new Museum of Oxford in late 2020.

    Thank you

    The Museum Team

Our third community exhibition will feature stories behind Oxford’s queer spaces. From our local gay and lesbian pubs to printed publications, from support organisations to the Gay and Lesbian Community Centre on St Michael’s Street, we will showcase individuals’ memories and experiences of these spaces through oral histories, photographs and objects. The exhibition has been created in partnership with the Tales of Our City project and Oxford Pride, and co-curated by members of Oxford’s LGBTIQA+ community.
