An illustrated talk by local historian Liz Woolley about the development of Oxford’s suburbs, 1850 – 1914.
Liz will examine why the suburbs grew so rapidly, what factors affected how they developed differently in the north, south, east and west of the city. Liz will look at the effects that suburban growth had on Oxford and its residents.
Doors open at 5.45pm.
