School children needed for a musical performance.

Primary Schools are invited to join in our FREE afternoon of celebration which will be led by ARne Richards, Artistic Director of the Oxford Concert Party. ARne has huge experience of creating music for children and will lead a lively workshop/performance with his special compositions for children. This event is pitched at classes from Key Stage 2. Ideally, we are looking for a choir or class of up to 30 children from each participating school. Each school will be allotted a twin city (Perm, Leòn, Oxford, Grenoble, Leiden or Bonn). There will be a small amount of preparation, for which we can give support. Schools might be asked, for example, to learn a short song from their twin city and prepare some flags or write a message to their twin city.

The approximate timing will be :

    • Arrive at the Town Hall at 1-30pm
    • Welcomes  and Introductions  from 1-35pm
    • Schools’ prepared songs etc until 2-20pm
    • 10 minute break
    • Concert workshop 2-30-3-30pm
    • Event ends at 3-30pm

Parents will be very welcome to come and watch the fun.

If your school would like to take part, please book your place by contacting Oxford International Links Secretary Voirrey Carr at [email protected].

Twin cities will be allocated to each school taking part but do let me know if you have a favourite city. First come, first choice!
