Meadow Lane Nature Park
Meadow Lane Nature Park is located next to the River Thames, opposite Iffley Meadows and close to Longbridges and The Kidneys.
The 1.8ha site is a mix of open grassland flood plain, mature scrub and trees.
- How to get there
The entrance to the park is from Meadow Lane (South), OX4 4BL and is best accessed by foot or bicycle.
Parking is available off the northern stretch of Meadow Lane, behind the Sea Cadet Riverside Centre.
Left as meadow as part of the Thames floodplain, the site is visited by locals and those looking for a tranquil spot to enjoy the riverside views.
- Things to do
Take a stroll along the circular path, or extend your walk into the other meadows and nature parks, all within 10 minutes walk.
Take in the riverside views or have a picnic.
We offer regular volunteering opportunities or working parties across Oxford. If you would like to find out more, visit our volunteering page.
The site is made up of open grassland with mature scrub and willows.
We continue to reduce the non-native snowberry that is found there.
Bats have been seen using the area for feeding.
