Peril's Copse

Overview

Peril's Copse takes its name from the adjacent Peril's Field, which the site once belonged, before it was sectioned and fenced off, creating an area of nature by the tenant farmer.

How to get there

By foot/bike

Peril's Copse is located at the back of Horspath Sports Ground and at the bottom of Shotover Country Park and is accessible from both locations through access gates.

By bus

Local buses stop at either Horspath Rd (10-15 min walk) or outside the entrance to Horspath Sports Ground (5 min walk)

By car

History

Volunteers have spent many hours planting, developing and maintaining Peril's Copse for the benefit of local wildlife and to preserve traditional land management techniques.

Both adults and children are encouraged to come along and wander through the site.
