Leisure Centres
If you're looking for ways to get fit and healthy and have a fabulous time with your mates, why not try something new and get down to your local leisure centre? Have a look at the Oxford City Council leisure facilities webpages to find your nearest leisure centre. Get off the couch and get down there!
Ferry Leisure Centre in North Oxford has a huge range of activities to suit you. You can take badminton lessons, dance classes and even join the Summertown Sonics basketball team if you're looking to improve your ball skills. Free Swimming for under 17's

Since April 2006, swimming has been free for all under 17's. All you need is a FREE Kids Slice card which is available from your nearest swimming pool. Have a look at our Free Kids Swimming Flyer for information on how to get a free kids slice card and to find out which pools are involved in the scheme.
If you get the chance, go and check out Barton Pool - Oxford's new 25m, 4 lane swimming pool and multi-activity room in Barton, east Oxford which has recently opened to the public. Other activities you can do there include general lengths and fun swim sessions, free swimming for kids, waterworkout classes and birthday parties.
Aspires Academy

| Aspires Fitness Suite - Ferry Sports Centre |
Aspires Academy is a fitness initiative for 12-15 year olds. Sessions take place within Aspires Fitness suites under the supervision of dedicated Aspires Advisors. The aim is to provide an educational, lively and fun environment in which kids can get fit. Have a look at the Aspires Academy webpages for information on how to join the Academy.
