About us
Oxford City Youth Council gives young people in Oxford a voice in local democracy and is a vital communication link between young people and Oxford city councillors.
Our membership is made up of young people from Oxford elected at their schools each October. Projects we've been involved in include:
- A leaflet on Domestic Violence which has been distributed City-wide
- Travelling to Brussels to see how European laws are made
- Meeting Minister of State For Children Margaret Hodge to see how we can help to strengthen her role
- Working towards hosting a talent show for young people City-wide, and then making it an annual event.
