FAQs

How do I know if my music is too loud?

That is a difficult question to answer because it depends on the individual circumstances and it is difficult to know how much noise is passing through to your neighbours house without going next door and assessing it. Noise passes through party walls, floors and ceilings and open windows and doors very easily. Also people are more sensitive to noise when they are relaxing or trying to sleep, so when you are playing your music you should take all of these factors into consideration. A practical assessment you could carry out is to go outside your property and if you can hear it on the pavement it is likely to be loud enough to disturb your neighbours.
