Can you do anything about noise from car stereos?

Yes we have the powers to deal with noisy car stereos, but only where it is causing a statutory nuisance to someone in their home and we would have to witness the problem for ourselves before taking any formal action. We would not take action where noise is caused momentarily when a car drives past with the stereo blaring out, but can take action if the vehicle is stationary and is causing noise disturbance over a long period of time.
