FAQs

I am having a party. What can I do to prevent causing a noise nuisance to my neighbours?

It might be difficult not to cause a disturbance when having a party, but some common sense precautions can help to minimise any problems. Let your neighbours know well in advance that you are having a party. If you are having music outside, keep the volume down to a reasonable level. Dont have music outside after 11pm, and if possible ask your guests to move indoors after this time. Keep windows and doors closed after 11pm and turn the music down Ask your guests to leave quietly, and not shout or beep car horns at the end of the party.
