Are mobile phone masts a health hazard?

A group of independent experts investigated the possible health effects posed by mobile phone technology on behalf of the government in 2000. The conclusion was that there is no general risk to the health of people living near base stations, on the basis that exposures are small fractions of the international guidelines.
