Do I have to wash my tins, glass and plastic?

It is not essential to wash and squash tins and plastic, but  this will help to avoid smells in the blue box and will give you more space. It will also make life more pleasant for our collection crews.

You can put the caps back onto plastic bottles.

You do not have to remove labels from containers.
