What is the best way to get into Oxford?

There are access restrictions for cars within Oxford city centre, particularly for traffic coming into the centre from the East, along the High Street.

For quick and easy access to the city centre you should use one of Oxford's 5 Park and Ride sites. Visit our Park and Ride pages for details of fares and locations of the sites.

The Council operates the following car parks in the city:

• Worcester Street (180 spaces)
• Abbey Place (80 spaces) - opposite the ice-rink
• Gloucester Green (104 spaces) - Underground, close to the centre
• Oxpens (75 spaces) - Next to the ice-rink
• St Clements (120 spaces) - near Magdalen Bridge
• Ferry Pool Car Park (125 spaces) - Ferry Sports Centre
• Summertown (115 spaces) - next to Ferry Pool
• Headington (128 spaces) - next to Somerfield
• St Leonard's (48 spaces) - at junction of Windmill Road
• Union Street (96 spaces) - behind Tesco on Cowley Road
• Barn's Road (196 spaces) - in Templars Square Shopping Centre
