Your rights and obligations

Your rights are:

  • to get benefit within 14 days, once we receive all information and documents
  • to ask us to explain the decision about your benefit
  • to ask us to look at our decision again if you think it is wrong
  • to make a complaint

Your obligations are:

  • to provide us all the information and evidence about your claim
  • to inform us immediately about any change in your circumstances that might affect your claim. Failure to inform us within one calendar month of the change may result in less benefit
  • to reply within 14 days of the date on our letters asking you for any information or evidence about your claim
  • to contact us within one calendar month of the date on your benefit decision letter if you disagree with the decision or want to appeal
