Planning Obligations SPD

We have produced a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on planning obligations. It was adopted on 30 April 2007.

This SPD explains how we will seek to ensure speed, transparency and consistency in the implementation of Local Plan policies through negotiated planning obligations.

It indicates the infrastructure requirements that are likely to be needed, provides guidance on standard formulae where appropriate for calculating contributions and standard agreements.

A set of background papers relating to the SPD, a 'Negotiating and Implementing Planning Obligations code of practice', and a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) of the SPD have also been published.
