Personal Search Requests

Any person may carry out a personal search of the Local Land Charges Register upon payment of the prescribed fee: 

• Local Land Charges Register only - £11.00
• Additional Parcels - £1.00 each, subject to a maximum of £16.00

The onus is on the person carrying out the search to inspect the Local Land Charges Register and to understand and record the information found there. It is important to note that an Official Certificate of Search is not issued by the Council in respect of information obtained for a personal search.

Guidelines to carrying out a personal search:

• telephone or email us using the details on the right of this page and we will endeavour to meet your request
• when you make your appointment, we will require contact details of the individual or company carrying out the search
• having made an appointment, a plan clearly identifying the area to be searched against should be faxed to us (fax number can be found on the right of this page). Your plan should not arrive later than 24 hours before your appointment time
• please note: we reserve the right to rearrange the appointment depending on the complexity of the site
