Our Planning and Building Control services are split into two areas.

Planning

The Planning Service operates in two divisions.

Planning Control and Conservation deal with applications for development:

Planning Policy set out the general policies which applications for development will be judged against.

The Core Strategy DPD was submitted on 21st November 2008

Building Control

The Building Control section ensures the health and safety of people in and around buildings by providing functional requirements for building design and construction through Building Regulations and Building Act 1984 legislation.
