Felling License

All trees within the UK are protected under the Forestry Acts. In general, anyone felling more than 5 cubic metres of timber in any calendar quarter requires a Felling Licence from the Forestry Commission. There are exemptions however, which includes the felling of trees that are located in domestic gardens.
