Even though your proposals may be exempt from the Building Regulations you still may require Planning Permission. This has to be applied for separately and advice should be obtained from our Planning Control Team. It is advisable to notify both Building Control and Planning Control with written details and sketches of your proposals to confirm that any planned work is exempt from Building Regulations and has the required Planning Permission.
