At our Customer Service Centres, our aim is to provide a one point enquiry service for all enquiries related to Council services. We also deal with telephone enquiries at our contact centre.
If our Customer Service officers are unable to answer your specific query, we will put you in touch with people who will be able to give you expert advice.

Our Customer Services Centres can be found in the following locations:
Service Information
All Oxford City Council departments and other public agencies can give help and advice on a range of service areas:
- help organise Council payments (Direct Debit, payment card, standing order, on line payment through the web site)
- make arrangements for collection of Housing Benefit overpayments, Periodic Rents, repairs charges and other miscellaneous payments
- direct appropriate customers on how to get debt advice and housing advice
- advise on welfare benefit entitlements and information packs
- stock all council leaflets and a range of public sector information
- offer surgeries for Tenancy Relations Officer and housing for Council tenants.
- advice on the Oxford City Council's Community Alarm Services
Local Housing Services
Services include:
- providing general housing advice
- information and guidance on the Choice Based Lettings scheme
- helping to report repair faults for council tenants
- helping and advising on rent & arrears
- advise on position of the General Housing Register
- advise on transfers and exchanges for council tenants and Housing Associations
- provide information about tenant involvement
- garages
Housing Benefit
Services include:
- issuing, receiving and checking Housing Benefit application forms and reviews
- receiving and checking supporting documents to Housing Benefit claims
- advising and explaining all aspects of Housing Benefit assessment
- advising on further review and appeals process for Housing Benefit assessments
- providing information and evidence to Housing Benefit Audit team
- arranging appointments for Housing Benefit Visiting Officers
Council Tax and Business Rates
Services include:
- registering new charge payers for Council Tax and Business Rates
- making arrangements for Council Tax and Business Rate accounts that have reached summons and post-liability order stage by income/expenditure assessment
- advising on liability, discounts, exemptions and charge levels for Council Tax and Business Rates
