Flamingo photographic exhibition

Released on 17 Aug 2006

A photographic exhibition highlighting the flamingos of South America is being held in The Gallery of Oxford's Town Hall.

The photos were taken by Niall Riddell who spent six weeks in the area looking at three flamingo species that live in the Altiplano region.

The exhibition is to highlight the threat to the species and the conservation efforts being carried out in the area to protect the animals.

The art gallery is next to the Galley Café in the Town Hall which offers hot and cold drinks and snacks to members of the public.

If you would like more information on events or hire The Gallery call Owain Pearce, Gallery Co-ordinator on 01865 252776, email opearce@oxford.gov.uk or visit www.oxford.gov.uk and view the events diary.
