Cool off in Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park
Released on 23 Jul 2008
With temperatures set to hit 27 degrees this weekend, it is the perfect time to visit Oxford's popular outdoor paddling pool in Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park, which opens this weekend.
The paddling pool has been given a new lick of paint and will be ready and open in time for the start of the school holidays on Saturday.
The paddling pool is set in Oxford's biggest park, which was recently awarded a Green Flag Award for the second year running. As well as using the paddling pool, the park boasts a miniature railway (next running on 3rd August), mini golf, two play areas, tennis courts, basketball, a skate park and football pitches.
Cutteslowe and Sunnymead's Paddling Pool is free to use. The park is in the North of Oxford, off Harbord Road. The paddling pool will be open from 10am to 6pm every day.
If you're in the South of the City, you can also visit Hinksey Park's outdoor swimming pool and free water splash feature, which is also open this weekend.
Hinksey Park is off the Abingdon Road. The splash feature is open from 10am to 6pm, and the swimming pool open from 9am to 8pm.
