All change at Oxford City Council

Today, Oxford City Council confirmed the new civic office holders and the council Administration.
Councillor Susanna Pressel, Jericho and Osney Ward is the new Lord Mayor and the new Deputy Mayor will be Councillor Elise Benjamin, Iffley Fields Ward. The Sheriff is Councillor John Goddard, Wolvercote Ward who was Leader of the council from 2006-08.
Councillor Bob Price, Hinksey Park Ward has taken over as Leader of the Council heading a new Labour administration. He will also be Board Member for Corporate Governance and Strategic Partnerships.
Councillor Ed Turner, Rose Hill and Iffley Ward is the Deputy Leader and Board Member for Finance, Housing and Strategic Planning.

Councillor Bob Price says, "The Labour administration will be giving early priority to playground modernization, a programme of Summer Holiday activities for children and young people, and plans to deal with the problems of the city's recycling and waste arrangements.
"We will be keeping a tight grip on the city's finances with the aim of eliminating the structural deficit on both revenue and capital funds"
