Latest NewsNew facilities for Redbridge Park and Ride Work is underway on a major project to improve facilities for bus passengers at Oxford's Redbridge Park and Ride site. The Oxford City Council-funded project is to build a new waiting room block for passengers. The building will also house public toilets and an observation platform for the security staff who work at the site. Graham Smith, Transport and Parking Business Manager, says: "This is a major project which will mean a big improvement for people who use the Redbridge Park and Ride service. "When the new block is open, there will be somewhere for them to wait during cold or wet weather and public toilets for people to use." Work by contractors Jocham and Kendall is due to finish by the end of this year. While the work is taking place there will be changes to bus stops, and the disabled parking spaces have been moved temporarily. Signposts are in place to guide passengers to the new disabled parking and bus pick-up and drop-off points. Redbridge is one of three Park and Ride sites run by Oxford City Council. The others are Seacourt at Botley and Peartree. For more information visit the Park and Ride WebsiteCopyright © Oxford City Council 2009 |
