Latest NewsPhotographic Exhibition at the Museum
The 2008 Annual Photographic Exhibition of Oxford Photographic Society (OPS) will be held at the Museum of Oxford from 2 - 21 September. OPS have been part of the city's cultural scene since 1889 and this is a chance to see the latest work by the current membership. The Lord Mayor of Oxford will be formally opening the exhibition at a private viewing on Wednesday 3 September (6 - 8pm) in the Museum's resource room. Susanna Pressel, Lord Mayor of Oxford, says: "The photographs at last year's exhibition were of an exceptionally high standard, as good as anything I have seen in international exhibitions. "I'm very pleased to have been invited to open this year's exhibition, in my capacity as Lord Mayor of Oxford, and I'm sure we have a treat in store." The Museum of Oxford is located in Oxford's historic Town Hall. Admission to the museum is free.
