Yann Arthus-Berthaus's internationally renowned photography exhibition 'The Earth from the Air' has come to our very own Oxford Castle. The FREE outdoor exhibition will be at the Oxford Castle, in central Oxford, from 20 September 2008 until January 2009. The Earth from the Air is an astounding exhibition of 120 giant sized pictures. It is a photographic portrait of our planet illuminating its beauty whilst raising awareness of man's impact. It can be viewed at any time of day or night without prior booking. The organisers expect visitor numbers will be in the region of 250,000. Please see the Earth From the Air webpage for full details.
Between September and December there will be various events and workshops around the county as part of the 'Planet Earth' season. Visit the Oxford Inspires website for details. The Earth from the Air exhibition is the season's flagship event. Copyright © Oxford City Council 2008 |
