Free Council Tenant and Leaseholder Training

Over the coming months, we are offering a number of free training opportunities to Oxford City Council housing tenants and leaseholders at the Oxford Tenants' Resource Centre, Horspath Road.
All of the courses are delivered by trained staff, refreshments are provided, out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed and we can help with transport and caring costs if required.

The following courses are being offered:
Money Management Workshops
Delivered by our Rents Team, the course includes recognising your money personality, categorising your debts, understanding budgeting and how to budget.

- Tuesday 24 February 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Lifestyle Skills
Informal workshops containing useful guidance on job applications, interview techniques, creating curriculum vitae (CV), and letter writing along with brushing up on numeracy and literacy skills.
- Preparing to Job Search
Monday 13 October - 10am to 12.30 OR 6.30pm to 9pm
- How to create a CV
Monday 20 October - 10am to 12.30 OR 6.30pm to 9pm
- Writing Personal Profiles
Monday 27 October - 10am to 12.30 OR 6.30pm to 9pm
- Interview Techniques
Monday 3 November - 10am to 12.30 OR 6.30pm to 9pm
Beginners IT Course
The course consists of 5 sessions each lasting 2 hours and includes basic skills exercises and an introduction to Microsoft Word, the Internet and email.
