Home Choice Event for Letting Agencies and Landlords - 18 June

All letting agencies, private landlords and anybody with a house or room to rent in Oxford are being invited to an event to highlight Oxford City Council's Home Choice Scheme which houses families and single people in the Private Rented Sector.

The event, taking place on Wednesday 18 June from 2-5pm at Oxford Town Hall, is being organised by Oxford City Council, Oxford Night Shelter and Simon House (part of Dominion Housing Group).

There will be various speakers at the event including the Lord Mayor of Oxford, as well as display stands and experts who will be on hand to answer any questions.

All are welcome to come along and find out the benefits of renting out a property or room via the Home Choice Scheme.

Home Choice Scheme

The Home Choice scheme provides people who may be homeless with the opportunity to move into a home of their choice and to avoid homelessness and a lengthy stay in temporary accommodation.

By providing the advice, support and financial help required, we have increased the housing options available to people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

The Home Choice Scheme, for example, can help prevent private tenants from becoming homeless by enabling them to remain in their current accommodation or by helping them find alternative accommodation when their current tenancy comes to an end.
