Residents given chance to air views on Headington Green Road roundabout project
Released on 16 Jun 2006
Headington residents have the chance to air their views on the improvement scheme for the Green Road roundabout, at the local Area Committee meeting next week.
Officers from Oxfordshire County Council and representatives of the contractors for the scheme, Babtie and Birse, will be available to answer any questions that residents have about the work.
The North East Area Committee takes place on Tuesday 20 June at Wood Farm Primary School, Titup Hall Drive from 6.00pm. The Green Road Roundabout item will be taken early in the meeting.
Committee chairman, Councillor David Rundle, says: "This scheme is having a major impact on the area and on the daily lives of people who live and work here.
"This is an excellent opportunity for people to comment on progress so far and ask any questions they have.
"I would urge as many people as possible to take this opportunity to talk to the key people involved in designing and running the project work."
Among other items on the agenda for the meeting are:
- The Oxford Brookes University green commuter plan
- Consultation on the proposed introduction of charges for residents and visitors parking permits in Oxford City
