The seat of local government has been on this site since a Guild Hall was built on the former east side of the Great Jewry in 1292.

The Town Hall is situated in the centre of the City a short walk from Gloucester Green bus station and Oxford Railway Station. Easy access to the M40 and regular rail and bus links to the rest of the country make Oxford Town Hall an ideal venue for hall hirers and patrons from all around the UK. The five City Park and Ride services offer a convenient way for motorists to avoid city centre parking. For those wishing to park in the centre we recommend the Westgate Car Park.
