Oxford Ice Rink Skate Training

Skate Training sessions are for skaters practicing figure skating and dance techniques in accordance with the National Ice Skating Association.

Minimum requirements to skate on Skate Training sessions are:

  • must have completed at least level 3 of the National Ice Skating Association UK Skate program
  • must have own skates

Cancelled and Amended sessions

Programme changes
Effective 8 September 2008
  • Skate Training will begin every morning, Monday-Sunday from 6.45
  • Doors will open at 6.35
  • The ice cut during the morning skate training will be at 8.45
From 15 October 2008 until 4 March 2009
  • Wednesday morning skate training will be from 9.00-10.00
  • Additional skate training session on Wednesday afternnon from 12.15-14.00

Further session information includes:

  • ice cuts during the first session will occur at 8.45 and last 15 minutes. All skaters will need to leave the ice during ice cuts
  • *Wednesday 6.45-9.00 will not run from 15 October 2008 until 4 March 2009
  • *Wednesday 12.15-14.00 will only run from 15 October 2008 until 4 March 2009
  • all skaters must have completed at least level 3 of the National Ice Skating Association UK Skate program
  • all skaters must have own skates
