Welcome to Oxford

Oxford Volunteer Rangers

Would you like to become part of our network of local volunteers who look after their local countryside? If so, then come and join the Oxford Volunteer Rangers.

We do a wide range of conservation tasks on nature reserves and parks in and around Oxford including:-

  • Propogating and planting trees
  • Coppicing and woodland thinning
  • Building bridges, gates and stiles.
  • Restoration and management of ponds, heath, fen and other habitats

You could also help by being the eyes and ears of your local site and alert the Countryside Service to any problems that may occur.

If you would like to find out more and have an informal chat, please contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator, Carl Whitehead, at the Countryside Service.

Alternatively, please fill in the registration form by following the link below and the Co-ordinator will contact you in due course.
