Oxford City Council offers free swimming sessions for all children and young people aged 16 and under who live in Oxford. These sessions are available at designated times throughout the week and are shown below.
Please note: a free swim card/membership is required to access these sessions. More details are available below.
We recommend checking your local pool’s timetable for specific times as they may change periodically.
How to access free swimming
To participate in these free sessions, you need a free swim card. Obtain your card by speaking to the reception staff at Barton, Ferry, or Leys leisure centres. Please bring proof of your age and address.
Once you have your card, you can use it during designated sessions at the listed pools. If you had a free swim card before 30 March 2024, you will need to re-register as a new operator (More Leisure) has taken over the running of the centres.
To book sessions online, you’ll need your email address or the email address of a parent or guardian. If you have any questions, please speak to the team in your local leisure centre or email oxfordcityleisure@serco.com.
