Oxford Tenants' and Leaseholders' Panels
Oxford Tenants' and Leaseholders' Panels focus on specific areas of service provided by Oxford City Council and give our tenants and leaseholders an opportunity to influence the decision making process. At the moment we have: Community Safety & Anti-Social Behaviour PanelThis panel makes recommendations relating to all aspects of the landlord and tenant relationship. They give a customer perspective on issues concerning the Council Policy, Strategy and Service delivery around Community Safety and Anti-social Behaviour issues. Customer Care & Information PanelThis panel sets out to improve the standards of customer care and communication given to tenants. They help to monitor and measure service standards which are important to you. They also allow you to actively test the services we provide through 'mystery shopping'. Environmental PanelThey look at how to improve the service that we provide and monitor the service and develop different methods of getting views of a wider range on tenant and leaseholders. This panel works with the involvement team to allocate a £65k environmental improvement budget. Equality & Diversity PanelTheir aims are to get assistance from tenants and leaseholders on shaping our services, taking into account the diverse needs of different people. They inform the tenants and leaseholders what is happening corporately concerning equality and diversity and get their views. Involvement Monitoring PanelThe main objective of this panel is to monitor the Tenant and Leaseholder Compact. (the agreement between the Council and our tenants and leaseholders, which sets out the standards for how we will involve our tenants) They assist in the management of the Oxford Tenant Resource Centre and work towards developing ways of involving more tenants and leaseholders, particularly to those who are under represented. Leaseholder PanelThis panel is open to all Oxford Council leaseholders; they discuss their views on issues which affect them. E.g. the service charge, lack of caretaking, no communal gardens, bins on stairs. Repairs & Improvement PanelThey look at Oxford City Homes repairs and improvement service, they help to monitor the service we provide in this area and develop methods of getting the views of a wider range of tenants and leaseholders.
