Your Estate Manager

What is an Estate Manager ?

An Estate Manager provides a service to council tenants for a specific area of Oxford and their duties include:

  • providing housing surgeries for general enquiries
  • visiting all new tenants within 42 days of the tenancy start date
  • visiting all the tenants in their area at least once every three years. The purpose of this visit is to ensure that tenants have an opportunity to raise any issues that may affect them, to keep our information up to date and to enforce any tenancy conditions when breaches occur
  • organising walkabouts with residents and councillors to inspect the areas on a regular basis
  • inspecting the communal areas to all the blocks of flats on a bi-monthly basis
  • helping you with your individual enquiries
  • dealing with reports of anti-social behaviour promptly and appropriately.  If you have a concern about a neighbour, repair, something to do with your home or neighbourhood, please call the Housing Contact Centre or your Estate Manager
  • attending training to stay up to date with legislation and to learn new skills
  • attending Tenants' & Residents' Association meetings, when invited
  • working with other agencies to the benefit of residents

and, for leaseholders we provide the following services:

  • organising walkabouts with residents and councillors to inspect the areas on a regular basis
  • inspecting the communal areas to all the blocks of flats on a bi-monthly basis
  • dealing with reports of anti-social behaviour promptly and appropriately

How many Estate Managers are there ?

There are 14 Estate Managers who each have a designated area of the city to manage.  Where possible, we have made the areas in line with the Council Wards/Area Committees/Neighbourhood Action Groups

One Estate Manager looks after all the tower blocks and shelter blocks and the rest of the city is divided into 13 areas.

The Estate Manager for the Cutteslowe area manages the homes in Kidlington and the Estate Manager for Abingdon Rd manages the homes in Abingdon.

How do I see my Estate Manager ?

The best option is to call them direct and make an appointment, alternatively, visit one of the surgeries.  As the Estate Manager is often out on site you may have to leave a message and we will get back to you.

How do I find out who my Estate Manager is?

Please use the search facility on the main Tenancy and Estate Management page to find out your Estate Manager Contact details.
