Noise pollutionWe live in an increasingly noisy world but powers exist for us to tackle noise. We receive about 2,400 complaints about noise every year. We operate a comprehensive Environmental Health out-of-hours service and deal with many complaints of noise when they occur. 24 hour noise control teamOxford's highly praised 24 hour noise control team can be contacted with complaints that require attention out of normal office hours. The control centre guarantees to answer calls within six rings and will forward your complaint and details to the out of hours service. An Environmental Health Officer will contact all callers within 30 minutes of a complaint being made. If a visit is necessary we guarantee to visit 95% of calls within one hour. Select the categories from the left hand navigation to find out more about specific types of noise pollution.
