Who is responsible for removing dead animals from the road?

We are responsible for the removal of dead animals (wild and domestic) from public areas and the roads in Oxford, with the exception of the ring road. We will remove any accessible carcasses.

We will do our best to check for any identification on domestic pets including a chip scan.

How can I report a dead animal?

You can report a problem to us using our Local View website.

When can I expect the animal to be removed?

We will remove a dead animal with 4 hours of getting a report within working hours. If the report is made outside working hours it will be dealt with within 4 hours of the next working day.

Subject to suitable traffic and weather conditions.

Who is responsible for cleaning animal fouling?

We are responsible for cleaning up dog fouling in public spaces.

How can I report animal fouling?

You can report a problem to us using our Local View website.

How long will it take you to clean up any problem?
