Air quality management area

The Council has declared AQMA's based on the areas in central Oxford where it is probable that the annual mean nitrogen dioxide objective will not be met.  This includes Central Oxford AQMA and Green Road Roundabout AQMA.

Central Oxford AQMA extends from:-

In the West : Frideswide Square

In the East : St Clements St; Cowley Road (Circus St); The Plain

In the North : St Giles

In the South : Folly Bridge

Main Streets excluded : Thames Street; Oxpens Road; Norfolk Street

Green Road Roundabout AQMA: Areas close to the roundabout

A map of both AQMA's and the AQMA orders can be found in related documents on the right hand menu.

Further pages show the assessment reports leading to the declaration of this AQMA, and the Final Air Quality Action Plan, that seeks to implement measures to improve air quality in Central Oxford.
