Oxford Strategic PartnershipWhat is the Oxford Strategic Partnership?The Oxford Strategic Partnership (OSP) is Oxford City's Local Strategic Partnership. This Partnership, co-ordinated by the City Council, brings together key individuals from the public, business, community and voluntary sectors in our local community to shape a vision for the City. As regional bodies, both the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and the Government Office for the South East (GOSE) are represented. The partnership is responsible for developing and implementing the Sustainable Community Strategy for the city. What are the Oxford Strategic Partnership's priorities?The Partnership has developed a draft Sustainable Community Strategy for Oxford City for 2008 - 2012. The strategy can be downloaded below:
The draft Strategy sets the vision for Oxford City and states the key issues for the city where the Oxford Strategic Partnership feels it can add value in the coming years. This can be summarised as follows: The OSP's over-riding vision is that Oxford will be a world class city for everyone. The OSP has adopted a cross cutting theme of the economy in the city and five flagship issues where the OSP feels it can add value:
Consultation on the draft Strategy has already taken place with key partners and this is now being followed by a wider consultation period. The wider consultation period will run until the end of the 25th February for any comments on the Strategy.
