Oxford Flood PartnershipFlooding can happen from a number of different sources. They are fluvial flooding (from rivers), pluvial flooding (from rain), and blocked sewers, burst water mains or rising groundwater. Looking after the vast network of pipes, culverts, ditches and rivers that carry water around the city is the shared responsibility of the partners. What is Oxford Flood Partnership?The purpose of the Oxford Flood Partnership is to work together to reduce food risk in Oxford. The partnership comprise the following local councils and national organisations:
The partner's meet to share information about flooding problems from around the city and where they involve more than one partner it aims to provide mutual assistance in finding affordable remedies. How often does the partnership meet?The partnership meets 4 times a year. One meeting each autumn is open to residents and is normally held in the Oxford Town Hall. If you would like to attend the next open meeting please email us and we will send you details nearer the time. Also, if you have a question you would like to ask or have some information about a particular flooding problem that you would like the group to know then please contact the group. What are the priorities of the group?The partners also produce a booklet which can be downloaded below.
