In 2001 6,100 households were living in overcrowded conditions in the city. Oxford has the highest number of properties without a bath, shower, or toilet in the south-east.
568 households were living in temporary accommodation we provide in the city as of May 2007. At the same time our waiting list figures were approaching 5000 households. This is a much higher rate than those of neighbouring districts and the South East region.
