What local equality and diversity events take place in Oxford?

Oxford plays host to several events aimed at promoting equality:

  1. Oxford Pride - An annual event celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) life in Oxfordshire. The event promotes awareness of LGBT issues and aims to provide entertainment in a safe and unobtrusive environment.
  2. Cowley Road Carnival - Since its beginning in 2001, the Cowley Road Carnival has grown to be one of Oxfordshire's major cultural events. A celebration of the diversity of East Oxford, the Carnival features a wide range of local and national musical talent.
